Terms of Service

NameFace is an educational memory-training game that helps you learn and remember the names of famous people and of your own private contacts, using quizzes, daily challenges, and spaced repetition. NameFace is operated by YBC USA LLC (651 N Broad St, Suite 201, Middletown, DE 19709, United States). By using NameFace you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for activity under your account, and for providing accurate information.

You agree not to misuse the service: no unlawful use, fraud, spam, infringement of others' rights, attempts to probe or disrupt the service or its security, scraping, or automated abuse of quizzes, scoring, or leaderboards.

Quiz photographs and facts about famous people come from public sources such as Wikipedia and are shown for educational purposes. Living Portraits are AI-generated animations of verified public-domain portraits of long-deceased historical figures, created for educational use and labeled as AI-generated within the app.

Daily Challenge leaderboards display your display name and score publicly. Scores are validated server-side; attempts to manipulate scoring may lead to suspension.

You retain ownership of the photographs, names, and notes you upload to My People. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you. You are responsible for having the right to upload photographs of other people and for complying with applicable law. Your private contacts are never shown to other users and never used for AI processing.

The NameFace service, software, design, and branding are owned by YBC USA LLC. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or reverse engineer the service except as permitted by law.

Free gameplay, collection samples, missed-face review, progress tracking and up to five private My People contacts remain available. New individual collection offers are monthly subscriptions to one selected collection’s verified available content and supported modes. All Access includes all currently available paid collections and verified Premium My People benefits. New recurring collection checkout remains unavailable until content and payment lifecycle checks and live activation approval are complete.

New individual collection subscriptions are USD $0.99 per month per collection. All Access is USD $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Billed at the selected interval, subscriptions automatically renew until canceled. Cancel anytime. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout, where you must affirmatively agree to recurring charges. Existing legitimate one-time collection purchases remain under their original terms: they do not renew, are never automatically converted into subscriptions and retain access independently of subscription expiry while the service and purchased content remain available. Payments are processed by Stripe; YBC USA LLC remains the seller.

Manage subscriptions and receipts from All Access in the app, which opens Stripe’s secure billing portal. Cancel each collection subscription or All Access separately; cancellation stops that subscription’s future renewals and access continues through its paid period. On expiry, subscription-only access ends, but quiz history, XP, mastery, progress and legitimate legacy one-time ownership remain unchanged. My People training returns to the Free allowance when All Access expires. All Access does not automatically cancel separate collection subscriptions: overlapping charges must be disclosed and any changes separately confirmed before upgrading.

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated serious violations. You may delete your account from your account page or by contacting us; deletion removes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service and may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, YBC USA LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Delaware, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
